New Features in Windows 10

 And its from Windows 11!

I don’t think anyone can deny that windows 11 has loads of really great features. We have held back for a while letting our clients update to it, to make sure it was ok (we have all been burnt before). If you can not upgrade to windows 10, your going to miss out.

There is some great news, to make the shift over from Win 10 to Win 11 simpler, Microsoft are going to let a couple of windows 11 features loose on windows 10.

Printing is not always as easy as we think it should be. The good news is that they are going to make it easier in windows 10! I can hear the rapturous cheers now! there are reasons that printers and printing have a bad rap….

The new feature is going to enable PIN -protected printing. Whats this for? well you know when your member of staff sent wrong the document to the printer, that confidential document to the main printer everyone sees? Well, if they do that, it wont print until they have reached the printer and entered a pin code. means they are there and can pick it up, or if it is the wrong document, delete it from the queue.

The second feature coming over from Win 11 is Focus Assist and it works with do not disturb.

Being able to turn on ‘Do Not Disturb’ is an amazing help when trying to concentrate and reducing interruptions, so tasks are finished etc. the down side is that can miss important notifications that you really needed to see. Focus Assist can stop that happening. you switch this on at the same time and it lets time sensitive and important information through to you. Neat.

Microsoft have been testing these features from June 2022, they are not quite ready for everyone on Win 10, but they are on their way to you.
