Swimming for Children

Posted February 2, 2022

Uptech is extremely proud to be supporting The Rotary Swimarathon this year.

Supporting young people is extremely close to Jason Carlton, MD and leader, so this was a no brainer. We have sponsored a board on the learner pool, as well has putting a banner there on the day.

But we didn’t just stop there!

We have entered a Team for the event as well, called The Techies. Once again James Fowler, BDM, has risen to the challenge and taken on the role as team captain. He has a team of engineers, including our own Rachel Mudge, plus others from james connections. They will be taking part and helping raise money for the great causes.

What is the Swimarathon?

Teams of 6 swim in relays for 55 minutes to complete as many lengths as possible. The teams will be split into several categories and the teams with the most lengths will receive a medal donated by a local business. The aim of the Swimarathon is to raise as much money as possible for our charities. It is a fun, family event and is open to swimmers of all ages and abilities from clubs, schools, businesses and individuals etc.

NEW Mini Swimarathon

An exciting opportunity for children who may not be able to swim 25 metre lengths to take part in this great family event. Teams of 4 will swim lengths of the 10m Learner Pool in relays for 25 minutes. Children under 8 should be supervised by an adult in the pool.
